The Friendly Resource Company

The Friendly Resource and Friendly Information Company are new Social Firms run by and for people with learning disabilities. The two companies were started by Speakup.

The Friendly Information Company makes information accessible for people with learning disabilities. We do this by making accessible and high quality films and my making Easyread leaflets, posters and websites.

The Friendly Resource Company have a large catalogue of these DVDs and other accessible resources available to buy. People at the Friendly Resource Company work to send out orders and tell people about these fantastic resources.

The Social Firms employ people with learning disabilities. People with learning disabilities work with a team of professionals to produce very high quality information in lots of different format and languages.
 

Jonathan Shaw MP Minister for Disabled People visited Speakup, the Friendly Resource Company and the Friendly Information Company to say what he thinks of the work we are doing to employ and train people with learning disabilities through the sale of our resources.
