Our real life case studies are an integral element central to all our training programmes. You will hear from our team members about their own, often difficult, experiences as individuals with learning difficulties accessing services across both the public, and the private sector.

By the end of our training workshops all those taking part will:

  • Fully understand what is meant by the term learning disability.
  • Have gained a broad understanding of the responsibilities under the Equalities Act 2010 and the Disability Equality Duty 2006.
  • Have improved communication skills.
  • Know more about making sure people are treated fairly and given fair chances.
  • Have gained ideas and strategies to help in their work and interaction with people with learning disabilities.
  • Have gained the skills and confidence to work more effectively with people who have learning disabilities.

The training is available nationally across the whole of the UK. It is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of private, public and third sector organisations: ranging from small to large groups, working in all walks of life, from schools and hospitals to commercial organisations such as retail operations and manufacturing companies.

We welcome enquiries from those who have specific training needs as our inclusive philosophy means that we proactively seek and engage with partners to develop new and innovative bespoke training packages.
